Pray for Muslims in Karnataka

December 29, 2011 |

It is time to Pray and Intercede for our Muslim friends in this part of region.  Time has come to reap the harvest as the  hands of God moving across this region and bringing many souls in His fold…It is all the answers of our daily intercessory prayer enabling us to serve in His vineyard and reap the harvest.

One year ago we started Jumma Prayer (Friday Prayer) with only five members in our email contacts..in no time we reached to more than 2,000 (Two thousands) . To day we  have been praying very strategically for our cousins on every Friday and we have seen tremendous interest and passion among our Christian leaders and individuals.

Today Jumma Prayer is not only sent out via email group but with much passion and burden we few praying Brethren meet on every Friday from 9:30 am to 10:30 to do intercessory prayer at different location in the city of Bangalore. Join us if you are in the city: Jumma Prayer in Bangalore

How to keep intercessory prayer strategically, Here are few points you can think and mediate:

For them to understand that all God’s prophets pointed to salvation through Jesus Christ

Matthew 5:17 “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. “

Acts 3:22–23 “For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you. Anyone who does not listen to him will be completely cut off from among his people.’ ”

1 Peter 1:10–12 “Concerning this salvation, the prophets, who spoke of the grace that was to come to you, searched intently and with the greatest care, trying to find out the time and circumstances

predicted the sufferings of Christ and the glories that would follow. It was revealed to them that they were not serving themselves but you, when they spoke of the things that have now been told you by those who have preached the gospel to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven. Even angels long to look into these things.”

For them to understand the relationship between grace, faith, and works

Ephesians 2:8–9 “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9 not by works, so that no one can boast.”

For them to realize the depth of the love God has for them and all mankind

Zephaniah 3:17 “The LORD your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”

Matthew 6: 25-27 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?”

For them to recognize the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the remedy to their shame and sorrow

1 Corinthians 15:1–6 “Now, brothers, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Peter, and then to the Twelve. After that, he appeared to

more than five hundred of the brothers at the same time, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep.

For them to understand and accept that Jesus Christ is the Son of God

1 John 5:10-12 “Anyone who believes in the Son of God has this testimony in his heart. Anyone who does not believe God has made him out to be a liar, because he has not believed the testimony God has given about his Son. And this is the testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life.”

For God to reveal himself to seekers who presently have no access to the Bible

Acts 10:1–5 “At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly. One day at about three in the afternoon he had a vision. He distinctly saw an angel of God, who came to him and said, ‘Cornelius!’ Cornelius stared at him in fear. ‘What is it, Lord?’ he asked. The angel answered, ‘Your prayers and gifts to the poor have come up as a memorial offering before God. Now send men to Joppa to bring back a man named Simon who is called Peter.’”

That seekers would count and accept the high cost of following Christ

Luke 14:26–27 “ If anyone comes to me and does not hate his father and mother, his wife and children, his brothers and sisters— yes, even his own life— he cannot be my disciple. And anyone who does not carry his cross and follow me cannot be my disciple.
