Collection of Fatima Al-Mutairi

It is privilege to share some of the collection of Fatima Al-Mutairi (26) who was brutalled murdered in Saudi Arabia last year 2008. She was a a brave Christian. When she proclaimed the gospel to her family , she was brutally martyred by her brother.

Her testimony, which is now spreading throughout the Arabic world via the Internet, is marked by an amazing love, boldness, power, wisdom, and grace. Fatima, who was 26 years old, was the member of a major Bedouin tribe (Al-Mutair). She is from what is arguably the most religiously zealous town in all of Saudi Arabia, Buraydah. Fatima’s fellowship with other believers appears to have been limited to Internet forums. Her story is now on display on many Arabic Internet sites, but it has not yet surfaced in the West, apart from a few summary references. Fatima composed a poem before her martyrdom. In her poem, she wrote, “And we for the sake of Christ all things bear…Oh history, record! And bear witness Oh witnesses! …In the path of Christ we tread.” Fatima is a part of our body, a part of Christ’s church. As her brothers and sisters, let us bear witness of her testimony, solemnly celebrating her Spirit-filled life, and let us pray for her persecutors, as she did before her death.

As part of her testimony to the family, she proclaimed that the way of Christ is the most pure and the most holy way of all. After sharing with her family, she found her brother in her room with her laptop open before him. Her laptop contained notes about her spiritual journey, which he was
searching in order to find more evidence against her. After being locked in her room for 4 hours, she wrote a final letter on the Internet. The final words of her letter were, “He is my light, and my salvation. Whom shall I fear?” (Psalm 27:1)

Fatima was killed soon thereafter, and was then ushered into the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Items for prayer:

@ For Fatima’s immediate family, that they would be overwhelmed by the love of God, so evident in Fatima’s testimony. That they would be utterly dismayed and broken as Christ reveals Himself to them, and that they would repent and be saved.
@ Pray for the Mutairi tribe of Saudi Arabia, and for the town of Buraydah. Pray for any believers there, for wisdom, encouragement, and testimony.
@ Pray that her story would not dry up in Arabia, but that it would instead be a deep well that continually springs forth praises to God. That God would use her testimony to strengthen and embolden the underground church.
