If Christ Be Not Raised…

We read in John 20:19-31 On the evening of that first day of the week, when the disciples were together, with the doors locked for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said, “Peace be with you!” 20 After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord

What a beautiful message of Easter we have from our Lord and were given to His disciple soon after His resurrection from the dead “Peace Be with You”. In the midst of confusion the disciple were in the grip of fears that they locked themselves. A message of peace came forth  to comfort them, much more in  v.20 we read they were overjoyed when they Saw our Lord.

Not all Christians  but many of us can testify that How Lord has brought His peace and Joy in our lives. Oh ! we tried and searched for this peace and Joy in our past Religions, Traditions, Rituals and did so many things to our body to have real Peace and Joy but that last no longer..

I am leaving you at peace. I am giving you my own peace. I am not giving it to you as the world gives. So don’t let your hearts be troubled, and don’t be afraid. joh 14:27

In fact Religion and Tradition produce nothing… today  Religions or Religious people  are becoming some sorts of  scary words bringing unrest and fear in the lives of people , People are scared they don’t want to hear and talk and they have locked  the doors of their hearts just like the disciple of Jesus Christ locked themselves because of fear they had from the religious people … they saw Jewish Religion and Religious people in their time. They were nothing but people of fear . They produced nothing good but horror and fear and through out generations they killed innocent and at last they Killed their own Messiah.

Jesus stated in Matt 23:37- “O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee,

Stephen states in Acts 7:52- “Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted and they have slain them which showed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers”.

One of the very valid and crucial questions was raised by Apostal Paul who himself was a strong Jew  …What “If Christ is not raised, (1 Cor 15:14)” My answer if He had not then we would have been the most miserable and hopeless people in this world .  And we the follower of Christ would be doing the same like today’s many  do evil things in the name of religion, have nothing to give to this world but fear and terror.
Thank  and Praise the God that Our Lord  is risen we have the peace of Christ and living presence in our lives bubble our hearts with joy.  Thank God our faith is not built on the founder a movement or religious leader whose bodies are still in graves and flesh eaten by worms but in Christ Alone who is alive and living in us and with us.  In this Chaotic and fearful world , people are afraid and confused…only Christians the true follower of Christ have True message of Hope, Life and peace to preach. Jesus Said: “ The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.John 10:10

This Easter again remind us God’s amazing grace to all mankind.. He died a voluntary death and suffered crucifixion as the Savior of the world. He bore our sins in his body on the cross, but he died as a victorious Savior. In his voluntary death, he won the victory over sin, death and hell, and was raised to the newness of resurrection life on Easter morning. The New Testament always links his absolute sovereignty as Lord of life to that event. The resurrection endorsed, proclaimed and demonstrated the victory that Jesus won at the cross. He died as our Savior, but he now lives as our Lord.

Now please tell me, “Have you got that peace?” You may ask, “How to find that peace?” Eph. 2:14 says, “…he is our peace”. The Lord Jesus Christ Himself is our peace. Also “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace” (Rom.8: 6). When you are spiritually minded you find true peace. By dying to your old nature, you find true peace. By receiving divine nature, you find true peace. That is why the Lord Jesus Christ died, so that you may die to your old nature. He died to take away your punishment, and rose again to give you divine nature. And that nature gives you true peace. Then by hearkening unto His voice and obeying God, your peace will be multiplied. “O that thou hadst hearkened to my commandments! Then had thy peace been as a river and thy righteousness as the waves of the sea” (lsa.48: 18).
