Pray For Believers in Gaza
December 30, 2008 |
Couple of months back Ali Hamid (Name is Changed) from Gaza Strip visited my site and he shared how he gave his life to Christ a long back. He shared with me that due to certain restriction he can’t exercise his faith openly and looking to move out from his land and be with the God’s people.
Sensing his genuine interest I forwarded his email to one elderly brother to pray and be encouragement to him and see if there is any way to help him out.
Today Ali Hamid is connected with many godly people through online but eagerly looking forward to come out One day and be with the people of God to have freedom to Worship the God Jehovah
My friend writes current news about him and asked us to pray for Ali Hamid
“I am really concerned about our brother in Gaza. He has sent me his documents once and they got intercepted (probably by Hamas) and never arrived here. He does not have e-mail contact anymore because of the situation, but we speak on the telephone, which so far is still working fairly well, most of the time. Your prayers are much appreciated…..”

Dear Brother let us uphold Ali Hamid and many like him desperately looking for peace and freedom of faith in their unrest land.
Pray for Peace in Gaza Strip
- For persecuted brothers and sisters would stand firm in their faith (1Peter 5:8-10); not be fearful but trust God (Rev. 2:10); be enabled to rejoice, even in their suffering (1 Peter 4:12-13); bless those who persecute them (Rom. 12:14,21); trust God to enable them to proclaim the Gospel even while suffering (2 Tim. 4:16-18) and be delivered by the Lord from their agony (II Corinthians 1:9-11).
- That those of us who have religious freedom will understand what it means to suffer with other members of the worldwide church (I Corinthians 12:26); have the boldness and courage to speak out and seek to make changes in the name of the Lord, on behalf of persecuted believers (Proverbs 31:8-9); and faithfully remember and pray for our Christian family worldwide who are in prison and suffering for their faith (Hebrews 13:3)
- That those who oppress our Christian brothers and sisters may experience repentance and salvation, just as Paul did (Acts 9:1-19)
